Skin is a renewing tissue and the body’s first barrier to environmental stress. Its resilience depends on metabolic regulation, mitochondrial function and the capacity to recover while maintaining tissue renewal.
Building on our published work in muscle, we are exploring how protective responses associated with mild cooling may support cellular resilience in skin. This emerging direction carries cold-response biology into broader questions of stress recovery and regeneration.
