Sarcopenia and precision medicine
Muscle regeneration, aging and senescence
Sarcopenia is biologically heterogeneous: similar losses in strength or muscle mass may arise from different cellular and metabolic changes. We pair human cohort measurements with bioengineered muscle models, so that molecular signatures can be read against functional decline.
Multiplexed functional models
Multiplexed assays report contractile force, quantitative imaging and molecular outcomes together to model sarcopenia and examine differential responses relevant to precision medicine. The aim is to define mechanistically informative phenotypes rather than treating sarcopenia as a single biological state.
